Confirmation
Once processed, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite. Please make sure that you retain this email. [This will hopefully forestall the inevitable "Am I really registered?" questions.]
If you are pre-registering by mail, please allow 3-5 weeks for us to process your registration once it is received. Registration forms that are found with duplicate, missing &/or incorrect information will delay registration processing. Please make sure the form is filled out completely.
Important: Tickets are not issued! Registered attendees must present a valid photo ID upon arrival at the Pre-Registration booth to claim their badge at the event. If payment was made by a person other than the attendee, that person may also claim the badge upon presenting a valid photo ID.
Cancellations/Deferments/No-Shows
If for some reason you cannot attend AnimeNext, you must contact us using the form on this page by June 1st of any convention year. Any requests received after the June 1st deadline will not be processed. Your membership may be carried forward (“deferred”) to our next event, or may be transferred to another person by the June 1st deadline. Please note that all deferments are not recurring and have a time stipulation of one year.
No-Shows will be handled on a case-by-case incident. Please note that all &/or any arrangements made are at the discretion of the Registration Coordinator.
Refunds may be issued in extreme circumstances at the discretion of our Registration Coordinator.
Questions
If you have any questions regarding registration, please send mail to the Registration Coordinator at registration@animenext.org

How do I purchase a ticket?? Please advise!
Brianna, you can purchase a registration simply by clicking the “Register Now!” link further up on this page that you will find underneath our posted prices. That will take you to the page where you can pre-register for AnimeNEXT 2012.
If you do not have a credit card or a PayPal account, we will be having mail-in registration. Once our 2012 mail-in forms are finalized, we will post a link to them on the page here. Simply print them out and mail them with a check or money order (no cash, PLEASE) to our Registration P.O. box, which will be listed on the form. Once the forms are processed, you will be entered into our Registration database.
If you do not or cannot pre-register for whatever reasons, we will have registrations available for purchase at the door. Prices for them will be posted after our pre-registration closes.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to e-mail prereg@animenext.org and we will attempt to answer them as soon as possible. Have a nice day!
Is registration for artist alley also up? If I register for artist alley and get confirmed a table, can I get the convention tickets until then?
Registration for the Artist Alley won’t happen for a few more months, keep an eye on the artist alley section on the AnimeNEXT forums for the most updated information!
Hello there,
For Artist Alley, should we purchase our weekend passes now then try to get a table later, or how should one go about this process?
When are group tickets coming out?
Jenn, we are currently discussing this topic. There should be more news on this in the very near future. Please keep an eye on this page for more details.
How do I get Tickets for the event ?
Albert, I simply refer you to my response to Brianna’s comment earlier. You can find the response here: http://www.animenext.org/wordpress/registration#comment-4
Have a nice day!
my dad is buying my ticket but he’s not coming with me [carpooling w/ a friend]
how do i get my ticket when i need to show an ID? do i bring my dad’s ID or something? does my dad have to be there so i can get my ticket?
When purchasing, your dad can put your name on the registration, so you simply have to show your own ID at our pre-registration booth when you show up to get your badge.
What if you do not have a valid photo ID?
What are the ticket prices for individual days? (like a ticket for just Friday, or just Saturday…)
Amy, single day and at-door 3-day prices will be posted once pre-registration has ended.
What if I was buying tickets for a large group of people? When will group rates be up?
Kandice, we should have more news about group registration in the very near future. Please keep an eye on this page for more details.
If possible, can you post up the price of at-door regristation fees? I’m currently trying to save up enough money to be able to go to AnimeNEXT in June.
Mariam, unfortunately, we will not be posting the at-door prices until pre-registration has ended. However, they should be relatively similar to prices in previous years.
Normally it ranges between $55 to $75 for the at-door 3-day pass and $40 to $55 for a 1-day pass (Saturdays are usually priced more than Friday or Sunday, if you’re going for one day.)
I was Just wondering for children between 7 and 12 do they have to register? and how much is that?
They do, but I think at the moment they are working on it.
Normally it’s $10 under the adult fee.
where do we get our badges and when is the earliest can we get them
As to where, pick up for Pre-registered tickets are right next to the Registration tables which are usually located at the front of the Exhibit center. As to when, they’ll let us know later. For the past few years they’ve done a badge pick-up for Pre-Registered tickets only that Thursday for a few hours.
Will the price become higher after the pre-registration end? If yes, how much will it be? Thanks!
Short answer, yes.
There are usually a few periods of time where the price, for pre-reg, will increase by a small amount, like $5 or $10. The At Door price is (usually) one more increment higher than the final Pre-Reg price. So we won’t officially know until they determine the periods for Pre-Reg and the relative prices.
Thank you for handling some of these questions
Will we be able to book hotel rooms through the con website?
Refer to the “Locations” page on our site! We offer hotel codes for con-goers, but you must book your own rooms on their sites.
After the January 1st date, the prices will become slightly higher, between $5 to $10 I believe.
Normally there are 3 pre-registration dates (Jan. 1, Mar. 1, somewhere in April).
if you dont preregister does that mean you cant go? sorry for dumb question but ive never been to one of these before… im so excited!
If you don’t pre-register you can always register at-door during the convention. The price will be higher than pre-registering, but you can still buy a weekend pass or individual day passes at the convention.
Do you guys only sell weekend passes for those 3 days?
Because I was thinking of going for only those last 2 days.. But if you sell only a 3 days membership type pass, I guess I’ll just go to all 3 days, lol.
We sell weekend passes as well as single-day passes. No 2-day passes, though. For economic purposes, I would suggest buying a full weekend pass and going for just two days.
Hope that helps answer your question!
The prices for the convention are such that a 3-day pass would be less than any two single days combined. Therefore, if you are planning on attending for only two days, you should purchase a Full Weekend badge because it is more cost-effective.
This is a question regarding pre-reg. It says that the deadline for pre-reg cancellation is June 1, but does this mean that if we cancel by that day, we get a full refund?
The deadline of June 1st means that if you contact us after June 1st that you will not be able to attend, there is a very good chance that we will not be able to process any transfer or deferment before the convention, and from past experience, there is almost no chance that we would be able to process a refund before the convention.
I’m sorry. I’m still confused. From my understanding, regardless of the deadline, once you register and pay, there will be no refund for cancellation. Correct? The reason why I want to make this part clear is because I’m planning on attending to see Berryz Kobo, but I’ll be coming from CA, and I don’t know my work schedule for next June, so I may end up not being able to attend. But, I want to register early to save as much money as possible.
Another quick question. If I buy a ticket at the door on Saturday, which should be the second day, and buy the weekend pass. Does that still apply for Sunday? Like, am I allowed to go back to the convention on the third day, even though I only attend two?
Sorry for these questions, I’m just really confused.
You would be able to attend on Sunday. The weekend pass is good for all three days of the convention, even if you cannot be there for part of it. In fact, many people have purchased Weekend badges for just Saturday and Sunday, so this is a rather normal occurrence.
hi…….hello everyone
How will I register this? Please tell me about.
Please read this page and I think it’ll make sense.
will registering also include the berryz kobo concert?
Yes
I’m sort of confused. If someone over 18 buys a pass for herself and someone under 18, only the person who paid for the tickets has to present a photo ID? (like a driver’s license) Do I have it right? And do at-the-door tickets usually get sold-out? And do they cover the Berryz kobo concert? Thanks.
All pre-registered attendees will need to present a photo ID of some sort. This includes those who are under 18.
The at-door tickets have never been sold out in AnimeNEXT history. While I would like to say this means you will definitely get in, if we do have a significant increase of at-door sales, selling out COULD be possible, but I do not see this as a probable outcome.
And the Berryz Kobo concert is covered with your AnimeNEXT registration.
Hope this has answered everything you’ve wanted to know!
Oh, sorry another question. If you’re only going for one day, are there one-day only passes? Or do you just buy at the door for those?
We will be selling single-day passes at the door only. We do not have single-day pre-registration.
If you buy at-the-door tickets for one day only, do they cover the Berryz Koubou concert? And will BK be an all-day thing or only for an hour or so? Thanks
The concert will be covered with your registration. As of right now, the concert is the only event at the convention which I definitely know they will be doing, but they may have some other events such as a Q&A panel and/or an autograph signing session that will be announced in the future. However, dates and times for those would not be known or posted until we post our schedule, which would be much closer to the convention time.
When do you think you will announce the price for children 7-12?
Any word on group registration yet? It’s almost 2012!
I’m going to be paying by money order for my ticket. I know the payment is going to Universal Animation, Inc, but what is their address so I can send it? Thanks :3
Please email registration@animenext.org , we will have the mail-in forms up soon.
Will there be Pre-registration for group prices, before the January 1st deadline? If so Whats the price?
Group registration will occur after the first of the new year.
So then we should order them separately now? Because if prices are anything like last year… it would be beneficial to buy them singly.
I’ll hold off since you said group tickets will be announced later. I trust it’ll be worth it.
When does group registration start and what is the starting prices.
Check back in about a month or so.
Group registration is always a $5 per person discount. Therefore at the current rates, it would be $35/person for adult memberships and $25/person for child memberships.
Group Registration will be opening in the next few days. The page will be updated as soon as we do so.
Is there a group discount price like the other years?
It will be available soon, we haven’t announced it yet.
If I am able to get an artist alley table when the become available at a later date, will the table come with a badge? Thanks for answering!
When Artist Alley tables become available, there will be an option to purchase badges along with the table on the Artist Alley registration page.
Is there an estimated price for a single day pass? I know that you have to buy it at the door but how much is that usually or estimated?
These are LAST YEAR’S prices. This doesn’t guarantee that they will be the same, but they will give you an idea.
Friday: $35
Saturday: $45
Sunday: $35
Will the deadline for the group registration be push back since it is not announce until after the new year?
There will be an announcement in one way or another very soon, but group registration WILL open before the new year.
My 4-H anime & manga club attended last year & now I have at least 35 interested in the group rate. Please email me directly about the price available in the new year, so I can get it together with my members asap. Our next meeting is on Dec 27, 2011 & I would like to tell them then….I’ve been assuming it’s the same as last year’s at $35/person, yes or no?
Betty, we’ll be opening group registration in the next few days. You are correct on the price, however. I would contact them as soon as possible, because as it looks currently, the price would go up after the new year. If you have any other questions, please contact me at registration@animenext.org and I’ll answer things as best and as quickly as possible.
So if group registration will be coming out after the new year, will it be cheaper than the $40 now? Or would it just be cheaper than the new Single’s price.
Saying would it be better to buy it now at $40, or wait till group price comes out that it MIGHT? be cheaper than $40?
I’d like to know this too. I’m interested, but I don’t want to be screwed over.
i am looking for the price for ONE person to attend for ONE day. Sorry, i am new to this and really don’t know where to look :3
We won’t be announcing the official prices for single-day memberships until pre-registration closes. However, last year it was $35 for either Friday or Sunday and $45 for Saturday.
Ummmm… please reply to my previous question, cause we don’t want to buy our tickets until we know, before the price rises again
Please. Days are ticking.
On a side note, my icon looks like a pelvis.
Due to matters that are beyond my personal control, we still do not have the mail-in group registration forms ready and online. However, we DO have online group pre-registration open. The price is $35/person for Adult Memberships and $25/person for Child Memberships. There is a minimum of 8 memberships for these purchases (the same as would be for mail-in group registration). For those who want to use the mail-in registration, we will have those forms online as soon as possible. I would like to have a more concrete answer at this moment, but that is all I can give currently.
um i dont see any group registration when is it coming out
Quoting from AN reg’s reply to someone else “Due to matters that are beyond my personal control, we still do not have the mail-in group registration forms ready and online. is there a way to have my badge mailed to me?
I’m sorry, but AnimeNEXT does not do badge mailings.
Is this the only registration due date? Last year, as I recall, there were about three or four registration dates.
This is not the only registration due date. The final registration due date will be May 24th. I will be updating the registration website once I get home tomorrow. However, we will be only having two due dates: January 1st and May 24th.
the thriteen and up only lets me buy 0,8 9 10 ect tickets
oopos sorry my fault i messed up
Uhhh… when does the $35 group price change? cause we don’t have the 8 people yet, since its a bit early.
The price will change on January 1st, 2012.
I think it will increase to $40 each person (group) until the next deadline (I’m assuming March or April 1st.)
Actually, there will be a change in the deadline for the group rate. If it does not change in the next day or two, just keep an eye on this page for more details. Those will be updated in the next few days. I apologize for not having more concrete information, but I do not have access to my AnimeNEXT e-mail account from this computer at the moment.
Will there be a discount for people buying a badge along with an Artist Alley table?
There should be an Artist Alley discount, since there has been in the past. However, I have not been officially informed of this at the moment. We will have more information as we get closer to the convention, and there will be more concrete information from our Artist Alley head once the registration for that opens.
For some one younger (13 & 14) what counts as a photo ID?
If you have a school ID or a town ID with a photo on it, that would be valid. However, we do realize that some schools do not issue IDs such as this. In this case, we suggest that you bring the confirmation printout that you get from EventBrite. These will work in lieu of a photo ID in cases such as this.
I’m a first-time con person, and I keep seeing these things about IDs and badges. Can someone tell me what those are? And say after I pre-register, what do I do once I get to the con?
We will be having more information in our Registration FAQ once we get it posted up. However, things work in this way:
Once you pre-register, once you print out the confirmation e-mail and/or bring a photo ID to one of our pre-registration booths at the convention. You will get your full weekend badge with the sticker on it that shows that you have purchased a full weekend badge. That badge will let you into the events that weekend. Basically, you need the ID to get the badge, and then you need the badge to get into the events (such at panels, concerts, dealers room, etc. etc.).
Hopefully this has clarified things for you. If not, just let me know and I’ll do what I can to make things clear for you.
A picture ID… Alright, that’s all I’m really confused about. A picture ID, as in something like a driver’s license? Unless a person doesn’t have that, would a regular school ID suffice?
Aha, sorry about all the questions. I just wanted to make sure I’ve got everything down. Okay, so say we’re registering in a group and we have one minor (he’s 12), would he still count as a person in the group?
Sorry about that… sometimes replies to my responses get missed as I’m looking through things. First off: Driver’s License and school IDs would be valid, as long as they have the attendee’s name and photo on them.
As far as the Child membership goes, he would be considered part of the group. The only warning I have to give is if you are pre-registering online and your group would be 7 Adult memberships and him. Due to a slight quirk in the system, all online group pre-registrations need to have a minimum of 8 Adult memberships purchased. So if he would be the 8th person in your group, either find one more 13+ person or use the mail-in forms.
it says you need photo id when you want to claim your badge. are high school id’s acceptable?
Yes, school IDs are acceptable. Just as long as they have your picture and your name on there, they will count as a valid ID.
if my parents send in a check with their name on it but its for a friend and i to go how do we handle that? with i.d. and such?
When the mail-in forms are processed, we put in the names that are on the registration forms, not the names on the checks. We understand that we have a good number of attendees who might have parents, siblings, spouses, or friends paying for them. Therefore we make sure to use the name of the individual registrant, not that of the purchaser. So your parents can buy you and your friend your badges, just as long as the names on the forms for the attendees are those of you and your friend. Then the two of you just show up with your own personal IDs and everything will be fine.
If this is unclear in any way, feel free to e-mail me and I’ll do my best to clarify things.
The deadlines are confusing me, on the online register the deadline is till February 1, but on the mail register sheet the deadline is Jan 1 and that already ended… So what is the actually deadline for group registrations for $35 adult group registration.
The deadline for group registration at the $35 per person rate is February 1st. Due to the delay with getting everything in order, it was decided that we would extend the group registration rate by one month for our attendees.
The deadline for group registration at the $35 per person rate is February 1st, regardless of online or mail-in. Due to the delay with getting everything in order, it was decided that we would extend the group registration rate by one month for our attendees. The decision was made after the mail-in forms were posted, so the mail-in forms will still say January 1st, but we will accept any mail-in group registrations at the $35 per person rate that are postmarked by February 1st.
I’m going to Pre-Reg now and I am wondering if you guys will be doing the Thursday badge pick-up? I’m trying to determine if it’s worth the extra night hotel cost to come down Thursday night instead of Friday morning. Thank you!
We will be doing Thursday night badge pickup. The times are not finalized, but they’ve been around 7 PM – 9 PM in the past, so I would figure on that for now.
Due to personal issues, I will not be able to attend the convention this year, but I already purchased my pass last month. Is it possible for me to receive a monetary refund back to my credit card?
Kristen, I need to run it past those who are in charge of the money. Contact me at registration@animenext.org and I’ll see what can be done.
However, if you know someone else who might be interested in attending instead, I can transfer your registration quickly and easily. We can discuss this via e-mail, however.
Hello. My question was concerning group registrations. How is it picked up and must the whole group be there to get the tickets or can one person alone get them for the rest of the group?
Group registrations are actually handled just like each attendee registered separately. This means each person would have to pick up his or her own badge. It ALSO means that they do NOT have to get them all at the same time. So the members of your group could pick up their badges as they arrive and not have to wait around for everyone else to get to the convention. We’ve found that this makes things easier for all involved by not forcing people to wait around for others just to get a badge, not putting the entire responsibility on one person for getting and distributing a group’s badges, and keeping the flow of the pre-registration line steady by not having a large group at one kiosk possibly blocking other attendees.
Thank you very much for a quick answer. I have one more question, if I am in a group preregistration, then how does it work? will each person in the group get a email with the info or something get in line to pick up their badge on the day of the con? Or does the person buying the tickets gives each member’s name to pick up the badge on their own?
The way it’s SUPPOSED to work is that the purchaser will get one e-mail from PayPal about their purchase, and then each attendee should get an e-mail with a PDF of their confirmation attached to it (as well as a link to an online version). Those confirmations are what the attendees need to show at Pre-Registration at the con to pick up their badge.
Hi, could you send me the information about being a dealer such as the space and price? thank you
Unfortunately, the Registration Department does not handle the Dealers Room registration. All we can recommend is going to the Contact Page and sending a message to Dealers. Those who handle the Dealers Room should be getting that and replying to you when they can.
What is the minimum amount of people needed for the group discount?
8 is the minimum.
Thank you for your information, even though this reply is late.
hi nice and good content write that
Hi, I am interested in attending any concert performed by Berryz Kobo at this show. But I have been unable to learn more about whether they are performing during one day, or more than one day, and when their concert would be. Can you provide any more details about that?
Also will there be an additional price for attending their concert or is it part of the ticket price for the whole show?
Could one attend their concert without attending the show?
Thank you.
Unfortunately, we do not have any finalized information as to when their performance or performances would be. Also, we do not have finalized times and dates at this time for any panels and/or autograph sessions they might have.
The concert at the convention WILL be free, but in past years we have had VIP passes for our musical guests. This would give you priority seating for the concert. The VIP passes would be an additional charge, but this was all handled through JHouse Rock Entertainment. I would contact them and see if they can offer any more information at this time.
Also, you would not be able to attend the concert without a convention badge. We check badges at the entrance to the main events area, where the concert would be.
Is it too late to apply for a group registration?
No, it is not too late. Group registration will be open as long as regular registration is open.
What form do we use to request cancellation?
could we possibly get girls dead monster to perform at anime next? ^-^ plz as june 10th is my 22nd birthday!
me and my girlfriend were gonna go with a group of friends but now we cant go and we have already paid for our tickets is there a refund if we cancel or are we stuck Im a little confused here
I’m kinda of confuzzled. So if I had a group of 5 or 6 would I have to fill out the individual forms? And we need a check or money order to pay…right?
does your picture id needs your date of birth
If I do a mail-in group rate, does everyone in my group have to pay $45 or does that only apply if I can get a certain number of people to go?
