LARP stands for Live Action Role Play. The AnimeNEXT LARP allows you to step into the shoes of your favorite Anime, Manga, or Video Game character for a weekend of role playing, combat, adventure & intrigue. Feel free to come in and participate in weekend’s ongoing plot for as much or as little of your Convention time… as you like. Costumes are welcome but not required to play in any way. Come in costume or dressed as you are- all you need is enthusiasm and willingness to have fun!

To participate in our LARP, you must also be an attendee of the AnimeNEXT Convention. (www.animenext.org).

To pre-register for the LARP please fill out the following body of text
and email it to AnimeNextLARPHQ@gmail.com
with the subject heading: AnimeNext LARP 2012 Pre-Registration.
Your request MUST be sent to this email to be considered and processed.

When filling in your primary, secondary, and tertiary character choices…please include the character’s FULL NAME & the COMPLETE TITLE OF THE SERIES in your choice of English or Japanese. If you do not
posses that information then please venture to your nearest reputable Wiki or other resource for grabbing this information for us.

In addition, we are adding an important ADDITIONAL piece of information we would like from our pre-registrants. Those who pre-register for the convention will receive customized plot teasers and hooks to lead them into the LARP weekend. Some of these may throw your character into a dicey situation, or put them in a position that you might not expect! Along with EACH character you request, please choose one of the following as your “Teaser Level”.
“Mild!”: Nothing wacky for me, please! I want to dive into this character without any complications!
“Spicy!”: I’m up for something tricky! Throw me a curveball!
“Either’s good!”:”No preference at all! I’d rather be surprised at whether or not anything unexpected happens.”
“WASABI!”: Please, Oh GMs! Do whatever you wish with my fates and fortunes! Put me into dire straits! I like it that way!
We will try our best to satisfy everyone’s requests. No one who selects Mild, however, will be “bumped” in any way. Don’t think that your teaser will be simple or boring just because of a “Mild” request, either!
