Weapons and Props Policy
- Edged weapons are not allowed at all on the premises. This includes swords, knives, bayonets, or other objects made of metal which can take an edge, regardless of whether the object is actually sharp. This also includes any such weapons purchased from the dealers' room.
- Gun reproductions are allowed, but they must have an orange tip at the end of the muzzle. If a gun reproduction has firing capability, it must be empty of all ammunition and magazines.
- Wooden weapons are allowed: staffs, walking sticks, and bokken and other wooden swords.
- Fake weaponry (tissue paper, plaster of paris, cloth) are all welcomed if they are safe and not dangerous to the other con-goers.
- No prop over 6 feet tall will be allowed into the Dealer's Room and Main Events Room.
- Due to changes in Secaucus law, all weapons in the Dealer's room are for display purposes only. Weapons may be purchased and then picked up in the Embassy Suites Hotel after Dealer's Room hours or by mail. Weapons picked up at the Embassy Suites must then immediately be put in a car, hotel room, or stored off premises. If you return to the convention area with the item, it will be cause for immediate loss of badge and ejection from the convention.
- Violating any of these rules will result in the removal of the offending prop from all convention areas.
- Misuse of any prop, such as swinging it in a public area, will be cause to eject the offending person from the convention.
