Every year we need the help of qualified volunteers to help out in various areas of the convention during the weekend.  If you have some free time and would like to get a behind the scenes look at the running of an anime convention, stop by the Volunteer Headquarters and sign up!  No previous experience is needed.
 

Who can volunteer?
In order to be elegible to serve as a volunteer at AnimeNEXT you must be a registered attendee and be at least 16 years old by the time of the convention.

How much time can I volunteer for?
Volunteers will be  required to work for a minimum of 4 hours.  You decide if you want to work all the 4 hours straight or in sets of 2 hour shifts.

If I decide to volunteer, what steps do I need to take?
In your convention booklet there will be a layout of the convention center.  Look for the Volunteer Headquarters or Con Ops.  Stop by and let us know your volunteer needs.  We will then explain to you how the overall process works.

Can I wear my cosplay outfit while volunteering?
We rather you don't cosplay while volunteering.  We understand you have put a lot of effort and time into your costume and want to show it off, but wearing it might interfere with some of the volunteer tasks you could be assigned.

What are the rewards?

* The reward amount will not exceed the amount paid to enter the convention.

What would I be doing?
It will depend.  We always need people to help out in registration, artist alley, panels, con-safety, video games and other areas.  SOme jobs will require more stamina than others but are still equally important to making sure the convention runs smoothly.  If you have an specific department or area you would like to volunteer your time at, make sure to make your request known to us when you come in and we will try to accommodate you.  We want to make sure you have a great experience!

Some Tips from Us:

• Traveling light always helps.  We will not have space to hold your personal items such as your latest purchases from the dealer's room.
• Providing us with your cell phone number to reach you will be a good idea.  Don't worry, we will not call you unless you are on duty.  We would never interrupt your personnal time!
