AnimeNEXT wants to  thank all the artists who submitted their work to our contest.  We received so many great entries this year that we had a tought time selecting a winner.  This year's winner will receive a complementary weekend pass to AnimeNEXT, 2 copies of the  2010 attendee t-shirt which will have their design printed on them.  Here are the results!

About Juri:  She came to United States from Japan in 2004 to attend the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She graduated 2008 with Marcel Vertie award. She was also nominated to Society of Illustrators Annual Student Award in 2009. Juri currently works as a Fantasy/Anime Illustrator and is located in NJ.

Artist Name: Sin D'Angelo
Age: 29
About Sin: She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts; been drawing and writing since before she can remember. Sin started her first locally sold, self-published comic book "Guardian Tiger" series at age 14.  She has won many awards for her art including a citation from the Governor of Massachusetts at the age of 15 for her work in an anti-smoking campaign. Sin's art has also appeared in a television commercial that aired on MTV. Sin's outstanding portfolio earned her a job drawing caracatures at Six Flags New England in 1998 at the age of 18, where she worked for 4 seasons until turning down the offer to relocate nationally. In July of 2006, after years of convention touring, she was hired by PopCult Anime to design buttons and draw the character concept designs for "PopCult Anime: Con Duty Calls". Since then, Sin has bloomed into an in-demand anime caricature artist, touring conventions up and down the east coast of the U.S. She have been invited to conventions as a guest of honor due to the success and popularity of her Sci-fi Steampunk web manga series "Machinegun Angel". Sin considers herself to be an advocate for original artists and continue to inspire my readers and fans to use their creativity.
