* ANIMENEXT 2007 THANKS
AnimeNEXT 2007 was our biggest and best year yet. More people
attended than ever before. In fact, the number of people attending
AnimeNEXT 2007 exceeded the total number who attended AnimeNEXT 2002,
2003 and 2004 combined.
We hope that you all liked what we offered this year. This year
AnimeNEXT offered a huge concert, two guests from Japan, Industry
representatives, some new game shows, an expanded Artist Alley and
our largest Dealers Room yet. We also continued to try and make our
regular offerings better. This years Saturday night Masquerade went
off with out a hitch. We brought back Cosplay Chess for the second
year. We tried to make all the things you love about AnimeNEXT
better.
Thank you for all the comments and criticism you gave us at the
convention and afterwards via email and our forums. We appreciate
all the opinions and we take them to heart and always hope to make
AnimeNEXT better the next year.
AnimeNEXT has always strived to grow and evolve and be a better anime
convention for you, the anime fan. We are not about being the
largest anime convention. We are all about putting on a better show every year. We hope that you continue to attend, invite your friends and family to come and take part in the continuing growth, progress and evolution of AnimeNEXT. Thank you.

* MANGANEXT 2007 REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
AnimeNEXT 2007 may be over, but that doesn't mean our work is done.
MangaNEXT 2007 is coming up. What does that mean for you? Well,
another fine convention that you can attend in the area. MangaNEXT
is brought to you by the same anime fans that bring you AnimeNEXT.
MangaNEXT is a fan-run manga convention that will take place on
October 5-7, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands in Secaucus, NJ.
Anime conventions have been in existence for many years, and manga
has had a large presence at these events, but there has yet to be a
convention dedicated to manga. MangaNEXT aims to correct that. With
the manga market growing in leaps and bounds and exceeding the pace
of the anime market, it's manga's time to shine. You can find out
more about MangaNEXT at http://www.manganext.org
In fact, registration for MangaNEXT is now open. Register now at the
special discounted pre-registration rate. There are two ways to
register for the event: Pre-register on-line or register at the
event. Pre-registration ends on September 1, 2007. We do not accept
any mailed-in registration, and do not offer any group discounts.
There will be a limited number of memberships (2000) available for
the event. Memberships grant access to all three days of the event.
Registration Type Rate
Pre-register on-line $20
Register at the event $30 (if memberships remain)
You can register directly at
http://www.manganext.org/2007/registration Make sure you register
soon to take advantage of the special rate.
* MANGANEXT PANELISTS WANTED
MangaNEXT is seeking individuals to be panelists or host workshops at
MangaNEXT 2007. Would you like to host a panel on your favorite
manga artist, author or character? Do you have a skill that you
would like to teach to others in a workshop; sewing, knitting,
origami, or drawing? How about leading a discussion group with your
friends on your favorite type of manga? Did you write a great report
or essay at school or college and think it might be a good basis for
a panel at MangaNEXT?
MangaNEXT had lots of new and revolutionary panels in 2006, help us
to continue that tradition in 2007. If you are serious about hosting
a panel or leading a workshop we can use your help. MangaNEXT has a
simple form that you can fill out online to apply.
You can find the form at http://www.manganext.org/panel-application
Fill out this application form and submit it in order to be
considered for inclusion as part of the programming at the
convention. Please be as complete as possible. Someone from our staff
will respond in a few days letting you know if the panel has been
approved or not. Microphones and speakers may not be available in
some of our smaller panel rooms. Applying, does not necessarily
guarantee acceptance of your panel.
