AnimeNext 2005 Memories
Another AnimeNEXT anime convention has come and gone. We hope you had as much fun attending as we did organizing it. Our new venue was a big improvement in terms of space, but it introduced new issues that we'll be improving on for next year. Overall, everyone was happy that our new venue was close to transportation, parking, and many good restaurants. Noise was the biggest problem, and the staff of AnimeNEXT is researching ways to minimize the issue.
2005 marks the first year that AnimeNEXT had multiple Japanese Guests of Honor, Director Akitaro Daiichi and Voice Actress Reiko Yasuhara. We also presented the lead actors from two of the hottest shows this year, Vic Mignogna (Edward Elric), Caitlin Glass (Winry Rockbell), and Travis Willingham (Roy Mustang) from Full Metal Alchemist; and Marc Diraison (Zolo) and Kerry Williams (Nami) from One Piece. What will the future bring? We hope you'll join us in 2006 for "the NEXT evolution of anime conventions".
